Social Media Contest?????
8 days ago, I received an email from a service company that I used for my 1800 number voice message, PATLive: Cool Holiday Cash… Win $500 from PATLive!
I told myself, I had never won anything like this in my life, this is not for me…
But before I hit the delete button, a thought kicked in to my mind.
Hell, you’ve been exposed to a lot of information about the Law of Attraction this year,
never used it, why not give it a try before the end of the 2011… anyone can use extra $500 CASH. Me included.
I decided to Test…small starting to attract $500
Ask and you shall __________. Yes, lets do it!
PATLive recently developed a function that allows us to share important voice messages via social media platforms. It’s a really cool function you can use it to keep your friends and business partners informed with news and announcements in voice.
It’s a new function, so the company decided to let the distributors in the filed to test it and give them feedback by rewarding us, $500 bucks.
Therefore the Social Media Contest was born.
The first thing I did was.. called up the company and asked the detail of the contest, and figured out all the rules, so I know how I can BREAK them. LOL!
I read this quote in Tim Ferriss’s book 4 Hour Body
“Know the rules well, so you can break them effectively.” ― Dalai Lama XIV
At first, the rep told me: “the person who shares the most, wins.”
But he immediately corrected himself,
“the person who shares the most will have a HIGHER chance to win”
It’s like an online sweepstakes, the more tickets you buy and put it into the fish bowl, the higher the chance you will win.
So each shared message will count as a ticket, the more you share means the more tickets you will have in the fishbowl, meaning higher chance to win.
Hell, there’s 180,000 distributors world wide, tens of thousands are actually using PATLive’s service… I have no idea how many people actually participated in the contest. I bet, LOTS!
I asked the rep my last question…
If the rule of the contest is not based on how many people actually listen to the messages that’s been shared, but the Numbers of the shared messages … Does that mean I can sit down in front of the computer share the same message all day 500 times? lol.
He said. Technically, yes, but that’s if you want your friends to get pissed off at you spamming their walls. LOL!
My First Social Media Contest Winning Idea
Great. An idea was born.
I’m determined to win this thing, the first social media contest I’ve ever participated.
Of course I’m not going to spam my friends online,
so I used my other Facebook account that was solely used for my advertising purpose, a.k.a Facebook PPC, (those image ads displayed on the right of your Facebook Wall) which has 0 friends.
And I also wrote down my goals and visualize exactly how I’d feel and what I’d do if I did win the contest. This is big in the Law of attraction, it’s called the visualization process. (more on my exact goal later)
And it worked! lol

Also, whatever you do… Know the Rules WELL and take action!
Ask and you shall receive is REAL,lol, but you have to take action.
Thoughts with no actions is Bull.
So now I’m thinking…
